Step by Step

How We Build Your Pool

Every project is different, but the path from idea to finished backyard follows a proven sequence, with updates as each phase is completed and inspected.

01

Free Consultation

We meet at your home to walk the yard, take measurements and listen — how you want to use the space, the style you like, your wish list and budget range. We also look at access, slope, trees, utilities and drainage.

02

3D Design & Proposal

We create a 3D design of your pool and backyard in context with your home, refine it together, then provide a detailed written proposal covering scope, materials and equipment.

03

Engineering & Permits

Once the design is approved, we prepare construction plans and submit them for your city permit, help with HOA architectural approval, and arrange utility locates before any digging.

04

Layout & Excavation

We paint the pool outline on the ground so you can confirm size and position one more time. Then excavation begins and excess soil is hauled away.

05

Steel & Plumbing

Steel rebar is shaped to follow every curve, step and bench. Plumbing for skimmers, drains, returns, spa jets and water features is installed and pressure-tested.

06

Gunite Shell

High-strength concrete is sprayed over the steel and hand-shaped into the final form of your pool and spa, then kept moist while it cures.

07

Tile & Coping

Waterline tile and coping go in around the edge — the moment the design really comes to life.

08

Decking & Hardscape

Decking, pavers, walkways and outdoor living elements are built, with slopes planned so water drains away from the pool and your home.

09

Interior Finish

Plaster, quartz or pebble finish is applied and the pool is filled — the finish sets the final water color.

10

Startup & Handover

We start up the equipment, balance the water through the first weeks, then walk you through your pool, spa and automation before handing over your new backyard.

Timelines vary with design complexity, permit approval times, weather and inspections. We’ll give you a realistic schedule for your specific project at the proposal stage.
During Construction

What to Expect While We Build

Building a pool involves heavy equipment, deliveries and several specialized crews. We plan backyard access in advance, agree where materials will be staged and tell you which phases are the busiest.

If something unexpected comes up — rock during excavation, for example — we explain it, show you the options and agree on next steps together.

  • One dedicated point of contact
  • Updates at every phase
  • City inspections at the required stages
  • Clean-up and final walkthrough before handover
