Questions, Answered
What Dallas–Fort Worth homeowners ask most about building a custom pool.
Cost & Budget
How much does a custom pool cost in Dallas-Fort Worth?
Every custom pool is priced individually. Cost depends on size and depth, shape, whether you add a spa, the interior finish, coping and tile, the amount of decking, equipment, water features, site access and soil. During your free consultation we discuss your budget range and design to fit it, then provide a detailed written proposal.
What features have the biggest impact on price?
Overall size of the pool and decking, adding a spa, specialty features like vanishing edges or large water features, premium finishes, and outdoor living elements such as kitchens and shade structures. Difficult access or challenging soil can also add cost.
Timeline & Permits
How long does it take to build a pool?
It depends on the design, permit approval times, weather and inspections. We provide a realistic schedule with your proposal and keep you updated as each phase is completed.
Do I need a permit to build a pool?
Yes. DFW cities require a building permit for in-ground pools, with inspections at key stages. Setback, barrier and fencing rules vary by city. We prepare the plans and handle the permit process.
What about my HOA?
If you’re in an HOA community, you’ll usually need architectural approval before construction. We provide the drawings and details your HOA typically asks for.
Building in North Texas
How does Texas soil affect pool construction?
Much of DFW sits on expansive clay that swells when wet and shrinks when dry. We evaluate site conditions and, when needed, engineering recommendations guide the steel, shell, drainage and deck details.
Can you build a pool in the fall or winter?
Yes — and it’s often a great time to start, so your pool is ready when warm weather returns. Rain and occasional freezes can pause some steps, and we schedule around them.
What if my backyard is small or has limited access?
Many Dallas backyards are compact or have narrow side yards and alleys. We plan equipment access and design pools that fit tight spaces — our completed Dallas project is a good example.
Pool Care & Company
How much maintenance does a pool need?
Regular skimming, brushing, filter cleaning and chemical balancing. Variable-speed pumps, automation, salt systems and robotic cleaners reduce weekly work. At handover we walk you through everything.
Which equipment brands do you install?
We work with the major US pool suppliers and install equipment from leading brands such as Pentair, Hayward and Jandy.
Are you insured?
Yes. Infinity Group DFW is fully insured and carries all required insurance coverage for the work we perform.
Do you build spas and outdoor living areas too?
Yes. We design and build built-in spas, decking, pavers, turf, shade structures, outdoor kitchens, fire features and lighting as part of a complete backyard plan.
